Widad Durrani is an executive leader with 14+ years of experience in government affairs, business development, and inclusive insurance markets .He currently leads as a Head of Govt/Corporate affairs along with province wide accidental health insurance initiative at Sindh Insurance Limited, protecting 3.4 million workers under a multi billion financing framework.
He previously served as Country Director at PULA Advisors AG Switzerland, advancing Agriculture Crop Insurance through Area Yield Index Insurance in Pakistan , and as Advisor to the Chief Minister, Government of Balochistan.
An engineer by training, he specializes in scaling public private insurance models, agricultural risk financing, and institutional partnerships that deliver measurable and sustainable impact.
Head of Administration
Ms. Meher Dinshaw Khory possesses around 15 years Banking / Financial Institutions experience. Prior to Sindh Insurance Ltd, she has worked for Sindh Bank Ltd. for more than 10 years since its inception as Incharge President Secretariat and assisting in HR matters. Before that, she was at Mybank Ltd. and Pakistan Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation Ltd. (PICIC - DFI). She has about 12 years’ experience as Legal Secretary / Management Executive at one of the leading law firms in Pakistan, Messrs. Haidermota & Co. She holds a Graduate degree in field of Commerce.
Head of Finance
Mr. Imtiaz Ali is a Chartered Accountancy finalist and has been associated with Sindh Insurance Limited since July 2018. He leads the finance department, setting strategic goals and establishing frameworks for operational success. Prior to joining the company, he completed a 3.5 year mandatory training period as a field auditor at Riaz Ahmad & Company, Chartered Accountants, Karachi.
Head of Internal Audit
Mr. Yasir Malik is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. He began his career at Ernst & Young Ford Rhodes (formerly Sidat Hyder) as an Internal Audit Associate. With over 10 years of experience in internal auditing, he has worked with a variety of organizations, building a strong foundation in risk assessment, compliance, and audit leadership.
Head of Underwriting and Reinsurance
Mr. Irfan Ali holds a graduate degree in Commerce and brings over 22 years of senior-level experience in the insurance industry. As Head of Underwriting & Reinsurance at Sindh Insurance Limited, he specializes in risk assessment, policy formulation, and strategic reinsurance planning. His earlier roles include 12 years as a Fire Underwriter at Habib Insurance. Mr. Ali’s leadership and technical acumen continue to contribute significantly to the company’s growth and market strength.
Head of Information Technology
Mr. Muhammad Arham Khan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He has over 8 years of experience in senior IT roles across various industries, with strong expertise in IT infrastructure, systems operations, and digital transformation. Currently, he serves as Manager of the IT Department at Sindh Insurance Limited, where he leads initiatives to enhance the company’s digital capabilities and maintain secure, scalable technology systems. Prior to this role, he spent 5 years as a System Engineer at Gerry’s dnata, Karachi Airport, where he gained hands-on experience in enterprise-level IT operations. Mr. Khan’s strategic mindset, analytical skills, and commitment to innovation continue to drive the company’s technological advancement and operational efficiency.
Acting Head of HR
Waqar Obaid is a seasoned Human Resource professional with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in Human Resource Management. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in HR Management from University of Karachi, he holds an M.Phil. in Human Resource Management (2023) and a Master’s degree in HR Management (2016) from the same institution. He possesses extensive expertise across core HR functions, including Policy & Procedures (P&P), Training & Development (T&D), Recruitment & Selection (R&S), Human Resource Planning (HRP), Compensation & Benefits (C&B), Performance Management (PM), Employee Relations (ER), Onboarding, Organizational Development (OD), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and Administration. With a strong academic foundation and practical experience, he brings a strategic and results-driven approach to managing human capital and driving organizational effectiveness.
